In our twelfth podcast episode of Campus Talk, Christian Büll, Head of the Department of Information Technology, answered our questions.

In this exclusive podcast episode, Head of Department Christian Büll tells us why the Department of Information Technology at Burgenland University of Applied Sciences is anything but "nerdy", why students are equally enthusiastic about technology and why geniuses are needed in this field right now. He also tells us which technical knowledge is almost indispensable today, which topics will be of particular interest to us in the future and how passwords can be made more secure.

The simple jobs will disappear. We have seen this before in the industrial revolution and now we have the next revolution or evolution. The simple routine jobs will disappear, they will be replaced by higher-value jobs. That's why we absolutely need this technical knowledge.

Christian Büll, Head of the Information Technology Department

Behind-the-scenes

The podcast was recorded by presenter Jennifer Joó, a member of the Marketing Department at Burgenland University of Applied Sciences: "It's no secret - I'm a graduate of the Information Technology Department myself. I studied the Bachelor's degree in Information, Media & Communication and the Master's degree of the same name at the time. Although the focus was very much on media, the basics of programming, for example, were also part of the programme. I am very grateful for this knowledge today."

The podcast can be found on Spotify, Apple Podcasts and other popular platforms.
