Podcast #14: Towards a climate-neutral future
Climate change has long been noticeable. Now more than ever, we need solutions to ensure that our world as we know it today is preserved for future generations. The Bachelor's degree programme in Building and Energy Technology is responding to this call with an internal reaccreditation, i.e. a reorientation of the curriculum. The topics of digitalisation and sustainable energy supply are being brought even more into focus. In the interview, programme director Werner Stutterecker also discusses the practical laboratory exercises and looks to the future of buildings.

Our graduates can not only talk about measures to combat climate change, they also have the necessary expertise and skills to take active action and drive forward the energy transition.

After graduating from UAS Burgenland, our students are sought-after experts on the labour market. Because the fact is that building and energy engineers can make a big difference to the success of the energy transition. In the new podcast episode, you can find out what the realisation of this challenge looks like in practice and why you don't necessarily need previous technical knowledge to be successful in your studies.
Behind-the-scenes

The podcast was recorded by Bianca Nastl, a member of the marketing department at Burgenland University of Applied Sciences and a graduate of the university herself. "My generation and future generations will have to deal with the consequences of climate change. The fact that the Bachelor's degree programme in Building and Energy Technology from the Department of Energy & Environment focuses on resource-conserving energy supply therefore also plays an important role for me personally. I would like to see this commitment in other areas of society as well," says Bianca.
