Methods and Research Infrastructure

Methodologically, we can draw on a wide range of experience in survey and analysis methods, both qualitative and quantitative designs as well as mixed methods, grounded theory, content analysis, objective hermeneutics, qualitative interviews, focus groups or group discussions, questionnaire collection, secondary data analysis, observations and much more. Participatory methods from the creative industries are also used, including holistic pattern mining and design thinking processes. All methods are applied project-specifically in analogue and/or digital form. The Department of Social Affairs has the corresponding infrastructure (hardware as well as software and licences): MAXQDA, SPSS, eye-tracking lab, project hub room, focus group lab, digital tools (survey and documentation).
