Impressive variety of topics
After studying translation studies, she gained international work experience during an internship at the EU Commission. "This was the first time I really came into contact with EU topics and I really wanted to deepen my knowledge. That's how I became aware of the degree programme at FH Burgenland," she explains.
Patricia speaks fluent German, Hungarian, English and Italian. She currently works in project management. She was fascinated by the variety of topics on the programme.

It wasn't just about project management or EU programmes, but also about funding, legal aspects and specialist policies. The breadth definitely impressed me and I also benefit from it in my everyday life.

In her Master's thesis, the graduate focussed on the topic of food waste at EU level and in Austria. She came up with the idea of dealing with the topic scientifically through her personal professional experience in the catering sector. The 29-year-old tried to lead a zero-waste life herself for a while, but she is now very conscious of the issue of waste and food waste. To become active, she advises influencing the personal environment and creating awareness.
