European University Association (EUA)
The European University Association (EUA) represents more than 850 universities and national rectors' conferences in 48 European countries. The EUA plays a crucial role in the Bologna Process and in influencing EU policy in the fields of higher education, research and innovation. Through continuous interaction with a range of other European and international organisations, the EEA ensures that the independent voice of European universities is heard. The EEA offers its members the opportunity to share best practice by participating in projects, events and other mutual learning activities involving a wide range of universities. The association also offers its members the opportunity to help shape European policies and initiatives that affect higher education and research. European Association for International Education (EAIE)
Founded in 1989, the EAIE is the European centre for expertise, networking and resources in the field of internationalisation in higher education. The EAIE is building an ecosystem in which new ideas and best practice can flourish and shape the field of internationalisation. As a member-led organisation, it provides a platform for learning, networking and knowledge exchange. Its activities are designed to help professionals succeed in their work. The EAIE shares best practice and practical solutions to the challenges of internationalisation with academic and non-academic professionals and provides a platform for strategic exchange. It partners with key stakeholders and institutions to promote the interests of our members and advance international higher education. Eurasia-Pacific Uninet
Eurasia-Pacific Uninet is a network with the aim of establishing contacts and scientific partnerships between Austrian universities, universities of applied sciences, other research institutions and member institutions in East Asia, Central Asia, South Asia and the Pacific region. The network was founded in 2000 and is strongly supported by the BMBWF and the OeAD. With a total of 176 member institutions in 15 countries, the network promotes multilateral academic cooperation, joint research projects, conferences and the exchange of teaching staff and students. Eurasia-Pacific Uninet is the largest sovereign university network of its kind in Europe. Its aim is to promote interdisciplinary academic exchange between its member institutions through scholarships for post-doctoral and doctoral students coming to Austria, projects and summer schools. www. eurasiapacific.net/
United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI)
United Nations Academic Impact is an initiative that brings higher education institutions together with the United Nations to support and contribute to the realisation of the goals and mandates of the United Nations, including the promotion and protection of human rights, access to education, sustainability and conflict resolution. Since 2010, UNAI has created a vibrant and diverse network of students, academics, scholars, researchers, think tanks, universities, training institutions and education associations, with over 1400 member institutions in more than 147 countries reaching over 25 million people in education and research around the world, representing a global diversity of regions and a thematic richness of disciplines. The work of these institutions is critical to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, as they serve as incubators for new ideas and solutions to the many global challenges we face. Fulbright Austria
Austria is one of 51 countries worldwide in which the programme is administered by an autonomous and binational Fulbright Commission. The Republic of Austria and the United States of America signed a bilateral agreement in 1950 that established the US Education Commission in Vienna. Following the passage of the Fulbright-Hays Act in 1961, the Austrian and US governments entered into a new Fulbright Agreement, which established the Austrian-American Education Commission (AAEC) in 1963. The Fulbright Programme currently facilitates the exchange of students and scholars between the United States and 155 countries. Since its inception in 1946, more than 380,000 students, teachers and scholars have participated in the Fulbright Programme; more than 2,600 US citizens and 3,700 Austrian citizens are alumni of the Austrian-American programme. Every year, around 7,000 Fulbright scholarships are awarded worldwide. Between 70 and 80 of these scholarships are administered by the Austrian-American Educational Commission. Burgenland University of Applied Sciences is proud to award one Fulbright Visiting Professor in the field of Energy and Environmental Management each year.

Austrian Exchange Service (OeAD)
The OeAD is Austria's agency for education and internationalisation. For 60 years, it has been advising, supporting and networking people and institutions in education, science, research and culture with its programmes. As an agency of the Republic of Austria, the OeAD contributes to inclusive, equal and high-quality education. The OeAD's fields of activity are in Austria, Europe and internationally in priority countries. It is the interface to educational programmes for all stages of life - from kindergarten and school to higher education and science, vocational training and adult education. Its most important instruments are European and international exchange and transnational mobility, which the OeAD promotes and operationally supports at central points. As a national agency, the OeAD is responsible for the implementation of Erasmus+ and the European Solidarity Corps in Austria. Province of Burgenland, Europe & International Affairs Department
The province of Burgenland has maintained intensive relations and good contacts with its neighbours, the countries of the European Union and partners all over the world in many areas for decades. In addition to membership in numerous international and interregional networks, the province's international activities include bilateral and multilateral talks and meetings with representatives of foreign embassies, states and regions in Burgenland. High-ranking delegations from Burgenland also regularly make international trips to further strengthen foreign relations. Erasmus+
Erasmus+ is the European Union's most successful education programme. Every year, it opens the door for over 7,500 students from Austria to universities, companies and other organisations in other European countries and beyond. Around 1,200 teachers and other members of Austrian universities go abroad with Erasmus+ every year. CEEPUS
CEEPUS is the abbreviation for Central European Exchange Program for University Studies and is a multilateral university exchange programme in the wider Danube region based on an international agreement. More than 15 member states have joined the current CEEPUS III agreement and each member state has a national CEEPUS office. The main activity of CEEPUS are networks of eligible universities of CEEPUS member states that carry out joint programmes. Within the framework of these networks, CEEPUS grants mobility scholarships to students and teachers from these eligible universities. Since 1995, approximately 75,000 mobility applications have been approved under our programme. www. ceepus.info/
