International Affairs team

Working together to achieve greater internationality and mobility in all areas - that is the goal of the International Affairs team. Consisting of the Vice-Rector for International Affairs, the International Office and the Department Coordinators for International Affairs, the team work closely together on all strategic and operational issues. To foster exchange and find holistic solutions, the extended team also includes the Centre for Doctoral Studies and the Centre for Study Preparation.

The International Office team is your point of contact for all questions relating to international activities of staff and students.

We are the hub for all international activities at the university and are responsible for advising students on stays abroad as part of their studies, for organising stays abroad for outgoing and incoming students, for supporting the degree programme directors in implementing various mobility projects, for establishing and supporting networks and partnerships, and for initiating and managing exchange programmes.

The Department Coordinators for International Affairs at University of Applied Sciences Burgenland function as an interface between administration/management and the academic units, i.e. the departments. On the one hand, they represent the departmental interests in the international committees at the university and, on the other hand, they promote international goals pursued by the university or based on national and European guidelines in the departments. The Department Coordinators have in-depth knowledge in the field of international affairs and have an overview of the relevant departmental activities. In an advisory capacity, they are the point of contact for all department staff in international and mobility matters.
