Campus Talk: New podcast brings together special conversations
Prick up your ears and join us!
As it is currently not possible to meet in person at our two study centres in Eisenstadt and Pinkafeld, it is certainly all the more worthwhile to listen to the newly launched podcast series.
What can you expect?
Quite simply - exciting contributions on current topics such as e-learning, studying and teaching in times of corona, special stories from everyday student life, tips on careers, health, sustainability and much more. Numerous talks are planned with our experts from a wide range of fields who want to hear from you.

I am already looking forward to the diverse and, above all, interesting discussions. Even if we are not yet able to fully utilise the studio's potential due to the current coronavirus situation.
Jennifer Joo, employee in Marketing and Communication
As our new podcast presenter, our UAS employee and graduate Jennifer Joo warmly welcomes her invited guests from the wider UAS community to the new media centre at Campus Eisenstadt. For the time being, she is still alone in the well-equipped recording studio for the recording. Her interview partners are online. The direct live connection, for example via Zoom, works without any problems. Christian Priedl, a student on the Digital Media and Communication Master's programme, who is helping to run the media centre, is making sure of this. He is also production manager at SOFA magazine and knows exactly what is important with his technical expertise.

I take care of the production, so to speak, while Jenni concentrates on the content. That means I'm responsible for the technical aspects of the recording and the subsequent editing. Working with the new equipment is a lot of fun.

Jennifer is very grateful for Christian's support: "I can really concentrate on moderating and he is my right-hand man, so to speak. We make a great team." The audio area with all the gadgets has thus been successfully inaugurated in the new media centre and you can look forward to future contributions and many new projects.
"Of course, it will be even more exciting when I can welcome my interviewees to the studio in person in the future.I'm sure that will create a completely different interview atmosphere, which I can hardly wait for," says Jennifer confidently.
What can you listen to already?
The first podcast episode went online a few days ago. Barbara Geyer-Hayden, Head of the Master's degree programme in E-Learning and Knowledge Management and Head of the Instructional Design department, shares her expertise on the topic of "Digital Learning and Teaching at Burgenland University of Applied Sciences". She will tell us how digital learning and teaching is being practised at FH Burgenland in the new year. She looks back on the past year and asks herself how big a role distance learning will play in the new year. In any case, you can look forward to tips, tools and best-practice examples.
Behind the scenes
So that there's not just something for your ears and so that you can better imagine the recording studio in the media centre, we have of course taken photos behind the scenes. Here you can see how and where the first production was realised:
