Making digitalisation tangible for children

Learning platform brings primary school pupils into the digital age
Pupils transitioning from primary to secondary school often have very different skills and abilities in the area of digital education. Although the required competences appear to be well identified by the digi.komp4 model, personal learning success is heavily dependent on factors such as the facilities at the school location, the teacher and the teaching setting. The pupil-centred learning website "Digilino" addresses this and aims to open up opportunities and possibilities in the field of early digital education.
Certificate to promote learning success
The learning website is divided into four large sections, each consisting of individual lessons and exercises. When setting the tasks, attention was also paid to using child-friendly language, whereby the acquisition of selected technical terms is also taken into account as a learning objective. The platform contains a total of 32 lessons on the topics of "My digital life", "Computer systems and devices", "Programmes" and "Codes and programming".
A work plan is also available to download so that the children do not lose track of what they have learnt. After successfully completing all the lessons, learners can print out a certificate from the University of Teacher Education, which certifies their basic knowledge and skills in the field of digital education.
