Antonia learnt a lot about health and health promotion back in her school days at Wiener Neustadt Sports High School. She is now studying for a Bachelor's degree in Health Management and Health Promotion at the Burgenland University of Applied Sciences and is a volunteer with the Red Cross.
She came across the degree programme at FH Burgenland through research. Nursing and medicine were not right for her. The business aspect of her bachelor's degree programme also takes up a large part of the course. Antonia is very interested in the healthcare sector, although she admits that business administration was a challenge coming from secondary school.
She is now almost at the end of her degree programme and is delighted with the wide range of topics she has covered. "Promoting physical activity, health psychology - I found it all very interesting," she says.
She would like to work in management later on and is already completing additional qualifications during her studies, such as training as a care home manager or in quality management.
The choice of possible jobs is incredibly wide. Regardless of whether you want to work directly with people, in companies in health promotion or in schools and nurseries, in health management or hospital management. I would definitely recommend the degree programme - it's something for the future!
