Elena Scherschneva has a doctorate in law and leads the course on white-collar crime, compliance and money laundering, bringing a wealth of experience from her time at the Federal Criminal Police Office, including as an expert on Russian organised crime, to the lecture theatre.

My job is very varied and I enjoy passing on my enthusiasm to the students.

Students on the Master's degree programme in International Business Relations at the Burgenland University of Applied Sciences can choose from three specialisations. If they choose to specialise in business law, the curriculum also includes courses on compliance. In teaching, experts from professional practice make a significant contribution to the quality of training for future managers. She is now an independent lecturer, expert and management consultant in the field of combating money laundering and terrorist financing.

"I am pleased when I see that I can convey complicated issues in such a way that students can take something away from them for their professional practice,"says Scherschneva.
