Come to stay
That was almost 20 years ago. After graduating in International Business Relations, Isabell moved to England, her adopted country. Professionally, she gained a foothold in marketing. In her private life, she and two friends founded a German-language Saturday school for the children of German-speaking expatriate families.
After her A-levels, it took a while for Isabell to realise what she wanted to study. However, one thing was clear to her: it had to be international. She finally found exactly what she was looking for in the International Business Relations degree programme at FH Burgenland.

The international focus really appealed to me, as did the opportunity for an internship abroad and a semester abroad," she says. "What else impressed me was how broad the programme is. It covered marketing, business studies as well as specialised subjects.
Isabell Kospanos, graduate of International Economic Relations
This was of particular benefit to her when she was looking for a job in England. She quickly found a job in marketing. Over the years, she gained a lot of experience in various sectors and eventually specialised in marketing in the software industry. "I found a good niche for myself here. These tend to be small, fast-growing companies where you can be creative and build new structures."
She only speaks German with her seven-year-old twins. To offer the children an additional opportunity to practise their German, she founded a German-language Saturday school in 2019, which exceeded all her expectations right from the start. 55 children now attend the school and a German-speaking community has developed around the centre that Isabell Kospanos no longer wants to miss.
