Christian Schiberl is an active member of the student council at FH Burgenland and is currently completing his Master's degree in Building Technology and Facility Management.

Christian is currently working as an education policy officer for the students. After completing an apprenticeship with a school-leaving certificate in mechanical engineering, he himself studied for a Bachelor's degree in Energy and Environmental Management at the Burgenland University of Applied Sciences, followed by a Master's degree in Building Technology and Facility Management.

Our buildings are becoming increasingly complex and our energy supply also needs to be secured.

He is also researching an absolute future topic for his master's thesis. He is convinced that BIM - Building Information Modelling - will open up new business areas in building technology in the near future.

My degree programme is very wide-ranging and gives me a much broader perspective on the subject.

Professionally, Christian has gained a foothold in plant engineering sales for a large international group. "I deliberately switched to sales so that I could also make better use of my soft skills," he explains. He is also a reviewer for new FH degree programmes in his subject area. "I'm part of the accreditation team that approves newly developed degree programmes in Austria, Germany and Switzerland." A task that the versatile technician really enjoys. He has not ruled out an academic career either.
