I'm going to do some sport
If you recognise yourself in this circle, you've come to the right place: the "FH Sport und Gesundheit" association has presented its new programme for the winter and summer semesters 2022/23 at Burgenland University of Applied Sciences.

The outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic has shown us that health is our most valuable asset. I am therefore delighted about the numerous offers that we can provide our employees, students and graduates from this semester onwards!

Yoga, curling and much more
What is on offer: From yoga and Pilates to back fitness, employees, students and alumni can take advantage of the programme at affordable prices. In addition, the legendary "Walk4Fun - Challenge" will take place for the first time this year for ALL (employees, students, alumni), in which various teams can walk a virtual route and not only diligently collect kilometres, but also measure their ecological footprint. The fastest team can look forward to a small prize at the Christmas party. Participation is free of charge. Start: 26.10.2022, end: 9.12.2022
There is also something positive to report for all fans of Nordic walking: At both locations, there will be opportunities to explore the diverse landscape of Burgenland on guided tours and for beginners to learn the technique of Nordic walking. A final walk will then take place in Bad Tatzmannsdorf. Registration by 13 October 2022 to sportundgesundheit@hochschule-burgenland.at, costs: € 10,-
A special highlight this year will be curling in winter. Employees will have the opportunity to put their skills to the test in a tournament. May the best team/department win, but be quick, there is a limited number of participants! Date: December 2022 - January 2023, exact date and location to follow. Costs: € 10,-
Regular online activities
In addition to all the activities, the "FH Sport und Gesundheit" association also offers free online programmes with a monthly focus. Lectures on "Humour in the workplace", "Time management" and "Positive psychology" will be offered in the coming academic year.
The aim of the association is to offer the above-mentioned programme on a regular basis and to give employees, students and alumni the opportunity to find a healthy balance between working at their desk and healthy exercise. After all, the Romans already knew: "Mens sana in sorpore sano" (in a healthy body lives a healthy mind).
