Inspired by my study programme
After all, anyone who enjoys everything from sport to singing and finds medicine just as exciting as languages has a hard time choosing a study programme. "After my A-levels, I didn't know what to do at all," she says. She allowed herself to try out a few things, had a taste of jazz singing and medicine and coached the SWARCO Raiders Tirol cheerdancers. "That's where I realised that teaching was something that suited me. I got a lot of positive feedback and decided to make it my profession." She studied English and history to become a teacher. However, she didn't get a job straight away.
So she took a job at an NGO and gained her first experience with e-learning. "A learning platform was needed there and I came across the Master's programme in e-learning and knowledge management at the Burgenland University of Applied Sciences while looking for further training opportunities. It seemed like the best choice for me to learn the methods and find out about trends." And since Rosina Preis - as we know - finds many things exciting, she was inspired by her lecturers at the university to specialise in knowledge management and changed her career plans.
She took up a position at the European Institute of Innovation and Technology Manufacturing and gained valuable experience in knowledge management for international projects.
She soon realised that she wanted to develop knowledge management in a company. She recently joined Marmind, an Austrian marketing resource management company, and is very happy there.

All of this only happened thanks to the degree programme. My time at the Burgenland University of Applied Sciences really inspired me. By working together with fellow students from the social segment, for example teachers, and from the business sector, I got to know new perspectives. The practical relevance was new, exciting and coherent for me as a university graduate. I am grateful for these experiences and the path that my degree programme has shown me.
