Michael Lintner has been involved in marketing since his school days.

Among other things, he was responsible for all visual agendas in the band he played in. "This interest drew my attention to the FH Burgenland and the Bachelor's degree programme in Information, Media & Communication," he explains. Parallel to his studies, he entered the professional world and gained a foothold in advertising agencies. "In an increasingly technical advertising world, you also need extensive IT expertise to act as an interface between the agency and decision-makers," he says with conviction.

He followed his bachelor's degree with a part-time master's programme in Business Process Engineering and Management at the Burgenland University of Applied Sciences. In both degree programmes, he appreciated the open way in which the courses were structured. In addition:

The atmosphere was always characterised by collegiality. Everyone had an interest in doing their best. Teachers also encouraged and challenged you accordingly.

Michael would recommend the programme to anyone who wants to get a general overview of these topics, but also wants to delve deeper into specific topics if required. He describes the career-friendliness of the part-time Master's programme as an added bonus.

Professionally, Michael Lintner has been the managing director of an advertising film production company for five years. "We mainly work in online marketing and support clients in all areas of content and marketing. The great but also challenging thing about my job is the lack of consistency - every customer is individual, every job is different, no two days are the same. One day you're in Carinthia on a farm shooting, the next day in Germany in a car manufacturer's production facility, the day after that in a large studio in front of a green screen.

In addition to my duties as managing director, I mainly work as a cameraman and lighting designer for our clients. You can also find a brief overview of our work at www.factory16.at."
