Lecture breaks by the sea

Nina Wallner spent her semester abroad in Alicante, Spain.

She was particularly impressed by the relaxed mentality of the locals there. "And of course it was also great to be able to lie by the sea during lecture breaks," she enthuses. She developed friendships with other international students in particular.

Nina Wallner completed her Bachelor's degree in International Business Relations and is currently continuing her studies on the Master's programme of the same name at the Burgenland University of Applied Sciences.

She attended a grammar school and then decided to study economics.

The international focus really appealed to me. I learnt Russian during my studies and completed my work placement in Riga (Latvia). In addition, the summer college, a two-week language course in Krakow, was an absolute highlight for me.

Nina generally finds languages easy - "at least easier than maths," she says with a wink. Professionally, she is interested in marketing and sales.

"I like travelling internationally," says Nina. As this hasn't always been so easy in recent years, Nina now takes every opportunity to get to know new cultures.
