The ANDA Symposium is a pioneering care congress that focuses on the future of care. In 2023, it was held under the motto "Working World 4.0".

Experts, researchers and visionaries come together to share the latest findings, innovative ideas and best practices. In a time of change and technological advances, the symposium offers solutions to the challenges of tomorrow's care practice.

Focusing on important topics such as technology and care, patient satisfaction, interprofessional collaboration, ethics and values in nursing, and promoting the health of nurses, the congress offers a variety of lectures, panel discussions, workshops and interactive sessions.

Guest article by our students on the Bachelor's programme in Health Management and Health Promotion

We, the students of the Health Management and Health Promotion degree programme, were intensively involved in the preparations for the ANDA Symposium 2023 as part of a practical project. Under the guidance of lecturers Ms Weghofer and Ms Rosenkranz, we worked on the assignments and synergies for the courses in the multimedia subject, creating appealing new logo designs, designing mock-ups and flyers, developing interview guidelines and working out survey results. Ms Weghofer's professional guidance contributed significantly to the smooth preparation and enabled us to realise our full potential.

Participating in this congress was extremely exciting for all of us. Not only because we had the opportunity to take part in such a high-calibre symposium, but also because we were able to actively participate and contribute to the exchange of knowledge.

Diverse exchange of knowledge at a high level

The two-day symposium offered students and experts a platform for exchanging knowledge and networking. The well-organised congress event was a complete success. We, the students, were assigned tasks in advance in order to prepare ourselves optimally. This enabled us to actively participate and gain a deeper understanding of the content presented. The event began with a ceremonial presentation of gifts to guests of honour and speakers. The symposium offered a fascinating supporting programme: from workshops on leadership and communication in corporate healthcare to discussions on wards and future strategies in hospitals. Entrepreneur Leo Hillinger rounded off the symposium with his personal story and an inspiring talk entitled "From 0 to 100: With consistency to success". With his passionate manner and impressive career, he motivated the participants, most of whom worked in nursing, to pursue their goals and never give up!

Active participation in the congress

As students, we had the unique opportunity to actively participate and contribute to the symposium. It was fascinating to observe how the participants in the hall listened to the presentations with passion. The open questions that were asked after the presentations often led to lively discussions. The statements made by the carers and nurses were particularly impressive: you could sense that they had already reached their limits and wanted to do everything they could to carry out their profession to a high standard and in the best interests of their patients.

The symposium also offered excellent networking opportunities. We had the chance to meet interesting personalities and exchange ideas with them.
