Safety first
He translated the textbook by his Norwegian colleague Stig Rath into German, updated it and adapted it to the legal framework in Austria.
"The refrigeration industry is currently in a state of flux," he says, explaining the need for a specialised book like his.
He explains this in a comprehensive and easy-to-understand manner.
He pursues his enthusiasm for teaching at the Burgenland University of Applied Sciences in the Department of Energy and Environmental Management and at the masterclass in Graz and Vienna, passing on the knowledge he has gained from 20 years of professional experience to young technicians.
In 2019, he founded the Austrian Society of Refrigeration Technology. "The industry is manageable, so the network is all the bigger. That's also important, especially because so much has happened in recent years," he explains.
He came to study at Burgenland University of Applied Sciences out of a professional need for further training. "It was absolutely clear that Pinkafeld was the first choice when it came to building technology." While working, he completed a Bachelor's degree in Energy and Environmental Management and a Master's degree in Building Technology and Facility Management.
Harald Erös is currently contributing his expertise as head of refrigeration technology at a pharmaceutical manufacturing company.
