The Love of Tinkering
Tina Miedler firmly believes this. She works as a Key Account Manager for the manufacturer of control systems for heating and building technology, "Technische Alternative" (TA), and completed her master’s degree in Building Technology and Management at UAS Burgenland.
Although she always found mathematics easy, she admits that a technical career wasn’t on her radar for a long time. Two things sparked her specific interest. First, she was fascinated by the static calculations she frequently had to perform in her job as the manager of a climbing park. Second, she inherited her grandmother’s old house and decided to renovate it. Her goal: to live as self-sufficiently as possible.

I familiarised myself with all the topics that came with the renovation, from building physics to hydraulics and energy supply.

Alongside, she completed a bachelor’s degree in Urban Renewable Energy Technologies at UAS Technikum Wien and followed it with a master’s at UAS Burgenland.
She took a lot from her studies in Pinkafeld, especially in the field of control systems, to which she is now professionally dedicated. At TA GmbH, she offers technical advice to large clients as a Key Account Manager. She values the versatility of her job and the collegial work environment.
Her inherited house is now fully renovated. Tina Miedler optimised everything she could, did much of the work herself with help from friends and family, and tested numerous innovative ideas, such as using blown-in straw for insulation.
