"My path began in the kitchen at home and led me through school cookery courses to dietetics in hospital," she reflects. Her specialisation in paediatrics was a targeted step to deepen her expertise in the field of paediatric nutrition.
With a Master's degree in Health Management and Integrated Care at the Burgenland University of Applied Sciences, she made the leap into digital hospital management. Her role at the Rudolfinerhaus in Vienna involves not only managing patient data, but also implementing and training digital tools. "It's about bridging the gap between technology and users - a challenge that I really enjoy," explains Leonie.
She sees her degree programme as a strategic decision to further her professional development and open up new opportunities. Her Master's thesis, an innovative exploration of digital solutions to combat loneliness in old age, reflects her endeavours to tackle current social challenges. "Even though my professional focus has changed, the goal remains the same: to do meaningful work that makes a difference," Leonie summarises.
