How do we want to live?
How do I want to live?
We spend the majority of our lives in buildings. That's why it's important for children of school and kindergarten age to consider the question "How do I want to live?". Over a longer period of time, children and young people examine their living space using research questions. They deal with their "ideas of living" and carry out simple planning in relation to their housing needs.
In the course of workshops, the children and young people become experts who pass on their knowledge in the form of peer tutoring to the children/young people at the lower educational levels and to their parents/guardians in parent workshops.
For example, pupils from NMS Oberschützen pass on what they have learnt to pupils from VS Oberschützen, who in turn pass on their knowledge to children from Oberschützen kindergarten. This enables a transfer of knowledge across age groups.
Project goals
Children and young people are made aware of the connections between architecture, light and well-being and learn about different design options. The ecological and social effects of different building concepts are made visible and the children and young people are sensitised to the individual needs of people with regard to building and living.
