Co-operation agreement between BHAK/BHAS/AUL Mattersburg and Burgenland University of Applied Sciences
Eisenstadt/Mattersburg, 5 May 2026 - Representatives of the BHAK/BHAS/AUL Mattersburg and the Burgenland University of Applied Sciences recently signed an agreement on the planned collaboration. It seals the joint endeavours to prepare young people for further studies in the best possible way during their school education and to facilitate the transition to university.
At the centre of the cooperation is a close professional exchange between the BHAK/BHAS/AUL Mattersburg and a total of five Bachelor's degree programmes at the Burgenland University of Applied Sciences. Excursions to the university, workshops at the school and information and counselling services are designed to give pupils an early insight into scientific and practice-oriented topics.
The cooperation also enables selected courses to be credited if the student transfers to the respective degree programme.
The following credits are planned, among others:
For the Bachelor's degree programme in Health Management and Health Promotion, content from the areas of accounting and business administration. For the Bachelor's degree programme in International Business Relations, content from the areas of Bookkeeping & Accounting and Cost Accounting. For the Bachelor's degree programme in Information, Media & Communication, the introduction to business administration and optional project management (ILV) upon presentation of the successful project management certification examination, IPMA Level D. For the Bachelor's degree programme in IT Infrastructure Management, business basics for computer scientists. For the Bachelor's degree programme Software Engineering and Connected Systems Business Administration and Investment Calculation for Computer Scientists.
"The cooperation with Burgenland University of Applied Sciences is a great benefit for our students. It gives them the opportunity to gain valuable insights into everyday university life during their training and at the same time facilitates the later transition to a degree programme. In this way, we are strengthening the link between school, practice and science," says Magda Rigler-Sauerzapf, Headmistress of the BHAK/BHAS/AUL Mattersburg.
Another advantage for A-level students: The extensive library of the Burgenland University of Applied Sciences with more than 150,000 e-books is available free of charge for academic papers and theses. This makes it even easier to start a degree programme later on.
