Four graduation ceremonies in Eisenstadt. First Bachelor’s degrees in International Business.

Graduates from the University of Applied Sciences Burgenland celebrated their graduation ceremony at Esterházy Castle. For the first time, students from the English-taught Bachelor’s Degree Programme in International Sustainable Business graduated.

Eisenstadt, 7 September 2026. A total of four graduation ceremonies were held on Saturday, 5 September 2026, for 299 graduates from the University of Applied Sciences Burgenland. They completed their Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes in the Departments of Energy & Environment, Health & Social Sciences, Information Technology or Business at the study centres in Eisenstadt or Pinkafeld. Family and friends attended the graduation ceremony.

First alumni to complete the Bachelor’s Degree Programme in Sustainable Business

Three years ago, the University of Applied Sciences Burgenland in Eisenstadt launched Austria’s first Bachelor’s Degree Programme in sustainable business, under he name ‘International Sustainable Business’. Now, the first 13 students have successfully completed this English-taught programme.

Also three years ago, students on the Bachelor’s Degree Programme in Health  Care and Nursing were given the opportunity for the first time to complete this programme in Eisenstadt as well. Until then, this had only been possible at the Pinkafeld campus. The first graduates have now also emerged from this cohort.

Tip: For those making a last-minute decision, there are still a few places available at the Pinkafeld campus on a limited number of degree programmes in the fields of Energy & Environment and Health & Social Care. In Eisenstadt, there are still a few places available on the Master’s programmes in International Business Relations and Wine and Food Marketing. Please note: Applications for all degree programmes for the 2027/28 academic year will open on 1 October. The application deadline is 31 March for all Bachelor’s programmes and 31 May for all Master’s programmes. Find out more at www.hochschule-burgenland.at
