From North to South - new educational partnerships sealed
Eisenstadt/Pinkafeld/Frauenkirchen/Oberschützen, 22 January 2026: Representatives of BHAK/BHAS Frauenkirchen and BG/BRG/BORG Oberschützen and Burgenland University of Applied Sciences recently signed an agreement on the planned collaboration. A certificate awarded to the schools by the university as educational partners seals the joint efforts to support pupils.
The concrete plan now is to harmonise teaching content even better. Furthermore, there will be workshops for pupils either at their school or at the two study centres of the Burgenland University of Applied Sciences in Eisenstadt and Pinkafeld. The university's extensive library with more than 250,000 e-books is also available to future high school graduates free of charge for their final papers or theses. This makes it much easier for students to start a degree programme at Burgenland University of Applied Sciences.
The cooperation with the Burgenland University of Applied Sciences completes our innovative concept for a new branch of healthcare. Our students are thus optimally prepared for their professional or academic careers in a field in which Burgenland urgently needs qualified specialists. We are looking forward to this valuable partnership.
Headmistress Ingrid Weltler-Müller from BG/BRG/BORG Oberschützen
Credit transfer also possible
Students at the BHAK/BHAS also have the opportunity to have their existing knowledge credited when entering a subsequent Bachelor's degree programme at the university. This applies to the Bachelor's degree programmes in Health Management and Health Promotion, Information, Media & Communication, International Business Relations and the English-language Bachelor's degree programme in International Sustainable Business.
The cooperation with the Burgenland University of Applied Sciences emphasises our regional responsibility: education that is anchored in the Seewinkel/Heideboden region and at the same time opens our eyes to the outside world. Our students must be shown that learning does not end at our school doors, but is a continuous process - from the school foundation to further academic development.
Headmaster Hannes Schmid from the BHAK/BHAS Frauenkirchen
