WishPunch for a good cause

Eisenstadt, 15 December 2025 - Warming drinks, good conversation and atmospheric live music: the traditional Wish Punch of the University of Applied Sciences Burgenland transformed the courtyard of the Eisenstadt campus into a lively meeting place for students, teaching staff, alumni and friends of the university on 12 December. As every year, the charity idea took centre stage: the donations collected this year, amounting to more than 2.000 Euros, will benefit the women's refuge in Eisenstadt.

The event was organised for the 12th time by students from the Bachelor's degree programme in Social Work. The afternoon was accompanied by music from Florian Pinter & the Pro Mente Band, among others. At the same time, incoming students presented homemade international delicacies and insights into their cultures at the "International Christmas" - a contribution that highlighted the diversity on campus and was very well received.

The WunschPunsch is a cherished tradition at the University of Applied Sciences Burgenland - and at the same time a practical learning environment for social work students in which project organisation, teamwork and social responsibility can be experienced.
