Energy and environmental management
As a schoolboy, he dropped out of the technical college for automation technology and turned his hobby into a career: he did an apprenticeship in a bicycle shop. "But I always wanted to return to technology. While I was doing my apprenticeship, I completed my vocational qualification - always with the idea of going on to university."
"I also worked as a bank employee in between, but that wasn't my thing," he says. He took a managerial job in a bicycle shop and then came across the Burgenland University of Applied Sciences. Now it was time to realise his plan. Why did he choose the Bachelor's degree programme in Energy and Environmental Management?
He started at Mayr-Melnhof Karton and has been working at MAPAG-Umweltanalytik und Baustoffuntersuchung in Gumpoldskirchen for two years.
He found the laboratory exercises particularly interesting during his studies. "Above all, I thought it was great that they could also take place during the pandemic." In general, he also appreciates the fact that the degree programme is very broadly based. Business and technology are not neglected.
