The Master's programme aims to train and develop experts for a career in the wine industry and related sectors.
This is the right study programme for you if you are interested in marketing and wine and are looking for a complement to traditional, production-oriented management.
The programme offers the unique opportunity in Austria to train for a career in the wine industry and related sectors at Master's level. In the process, students develop into experts in marketing management - as a promising complement to traditional, production-oriented management. Project practice and a series of excursions to important, international wine-growing regions are highlighted.
With this degree programme, we meet the demand for wine marketing experts in the wine industry in the entire German-speaking region. We offer a high level of practical orientation, top-class lecturers and an active network.

The University of Applied Sciences Master's Programme in International Wine Marketing accepts 24 applicants per year.

Applications received by the annual deadline for the Master's degree programme in International Wine Marketing will be considered in the admission procedure for the coming academic year. Registration takes place via the online registration.
APPLICATION DEADLINE FOR THIRD-COUNTRY NATIONALS WHO REQUIRE A VISA TO ENTER AUSTRIA
For applicants with certificates from third countries (i.e. all countries except the member states of the EEA/EU and Switzerland) without an EU visa facilitation agreement, the application deadline for the start of studies in September is 15 March of the same year. This should leave enough time to apply for the required residence permit and/or visa and to obtain any missing documents and certificates.
Personal admission interview
In the event that the number of applications exceeds the number of study places, written invitations are sent out for admission interviews in June and July. The admission procedure tests the applicants' communication skills and social competence as well as their ability to work independently on a topic relevant to their studies. In addition, the applicants' previous education, professional experience, experience abroad and any foreign language skills are taken into account. During the interview, the applicant's motives for studying "International Wine Marketing" are also discussed and any additional qualifications are proven.
Decision on admission
The applicants are assessed, ranked and notified of their admission. Applicants without a firm acceptance will be placed on the waiting list and will be moved up in the event that applicants who have been accepted drop out. Applications that are submitted late can only be considered if there are free places.
Deposit
After the binding allocation of a place, University of Applied Sciences Burgenland collects a deposit of € 350 from students to secure their place. This deposit is refunded to active students after the end of the first semester. If an applicant does not fulfil the admission requirements before the start of the programme (e.g. did not pass the resit of the school-leaving examination, did not pass the additional qualification examination, etc.), the deposit is also refunded.
