Wine and food as a profession
Together with her husband, she runs a winery on the northern shore of Lake Neusiedl and also works in purchasing, packaging and design for a regional producer of organic snacks.
Her journey to this point was shaped by her Master’s degree in Wine & Food Marketing (formerly International Wine Marketing) and her Bachelor’s degree in Information, Media & Communication at Burgenland University of Applied Sciences in Eisenstadt. Both study programmes equipped her with valuable skills for her day-to-day professional life. These range from project management, storytelling, and web and information design from her Bachelor’s degree to specialised knowledge of the wine industry from her Master’s, particularly in operational and strategic marketing.
She benefits equally from these skills in both areas of work – at the winery as well as at the organic snack manufacturer, where, amongst other things, she helps develop innovative packaging solutions.
It is clear that the Master’s in Wine & Food Marketing opens up a wide range of career opportunities in the food and consumer goods sectors.

The degree programme provides students with truly sound marketing skills; it is very practical and has an international focus.
Jana Kroyer, graduate in Wine & Food Marketing
What’s more, an exciting network forms amongst the students. “Interacting with people who share the same passion has been incredibly valuable to me, both professionally and personally. Wine brings people together not just in the glass: it has led to close friendships that continue to this day. The course is definitely a real door-opener – in every respect.”
