The wind is my great passion
"Because I want to do something meaningful and make a difference," she says. Wind in particular is her great passion and also plays a central role in her private life. "I've been interested in the wind since I was 15, as I've been cycling since then and therefore always check the weather and personally feel and utilise the energy of the wind (tailwind or headwind)."
Csenar grew up in Marchtrenk and went to school in Wels. She then moved to Vienna to study International Business Administration. Her studies were followed by a job at EVN and another degree at the same time, "because I had the feeling that I wouldn't be taken seriously in technical projects without technical training." She therefore studied Sustainable Energy Systems at the Burgenland University of Applied Sciences. Lisa Csenar developed Europe's first small wind farm for EVN. She later moved to Wien Energie and developed large-scale wind power projects. After commissioning the wind farms, she was responsible for the logistics of Wien Energie's waste incineration plants with around 30 employees for three years. Since 2021, she has headed the department for the development of wind and photovoltaic projects at the Verbund subsidiary Green Power.

I always wanted to work in something where I could make a difference or where I felt it was meaningful and would benefit us all.
Lisa Csenar, graduate of the FH Burgenland
What of what you learnt during your studies at FH Burgenland was particularly helpful in your job? "The network, the practical knowledge and the excursions. I also look back fondly on the community and the togetherness and am grateful to the UAS for the efficient and part-time organisation of the course."
