I think it's wonderful that practitioners are included in the apprenticeship programme. Practical experience is immensely important for young people to be able to succeed later, especially in technical professions.

She herself knew from kindergarten age that her heart beat for technology. "When my bike broke down, I didn't wait for my father to come home from work. I repaired it myself and my friends' bikes too." After studying architecture and then completing her doctorate at the Vienna University of Technology, she opened her own architecture firm in Vienna in 2011 and two years later opened a branch in her home region of Burgenland.
There, she is also on the board of Architekturraum Burgenland (Architekturhaus des Landes Burgenland) and is also involved in projects with schools through her non-profit organisation for architecture and building culture education "Connect - Architektur I Kultur I Schule", which she founded in 2014 to raise children's awareness of technical processes and interrelationships.
