I like working internationally

After graduating from a school with an agricultural focus, he consciously sought new perspectives and volunteered with an NGO in Bucharest as part of the European Solidarity Corps. He emphasises:

On his return, he became aware of the International Business Relations degree programme at the BeSt3 careers and study information fair in Graz at the University of Applied Sciences Burgenland stand. The exchange with his current programme director and especially the additional language offer stuck with him. He is now in his third year, studying full-time, learning Russian and has chosen the Marketing & Sales specialisation.

"The practical experience I gained during a five-month stay in Kazakhstan was very formative," he emphasises. He initially worked for two months at ZETA in Almaty, an Austrian company headquartered in Lieboch: he took care of event management, assisted with administrative activities and conducted market research. He then moved to the WKO for another internship. There he looked for potential customers for Austrian companies and was on site at the largest agricultural trade fair in Central Asia.

The language was a hurdle at first, but he quickly gained confidence with daily use. The international team - many Kazakhs and Russians - offered deep insights into the culture and everyday working life.

Professionally, an international orientation appeals to him. The work at the WKO, where Austrian companies are supported in establishing business relationships with Kazakhstan, particularly appealed to him.
