Pinkafeld, 26 June 2025 - Representatives of the BG/BRG Fürstenfeld and the Burgenland University of Applied Sciences signed an agreement on the planned cooperation at the e.nova symposium at the study location in Pinkafeld. It seals the joint endeavours to support pupils. This is the first co-operation with a Styrian school for the Burgenland University of Applied Sciences.
As part of the co-operation, an intensive exchange of information and knowledge transfer is being sought with the "Fit4Science" branch of the BG/BRG Fürstenfeld and the Energy & Environment Department of the university. This will take place across several school levels in the field of sustainability. There will be excursions to the Pinkafeld site with content organisation and workshops on site as well as workshops at the BG/BRG Fürstenfeld, which will be organised and held by members of the teaching and research staff of the Burgenland University of Applied Sciences.
In this way, pupils from the "Fit4Science" branch build up skills that can lead to recognition of the Introduction to Energy and Environment I module in the Bachelor's degree programme in Energy and Environmental Management.
The university's extensive library with more than 150,000 e-books is also available to A-level students free of charge for their dissertations. This makes it much easier to start a degree programme at the Burgenland University of Applied Sciences.
"I am very pleased about the new cooperation agreement between Burgenland University of Applied Sciences and BG/BRG Fürstenfeld. It enriches our "Fit4Science" programme by bringing pupils into contact with practice. We are also creating the best conditions for their further academic and professional careers," emphasises Director MMag. Martin Steiner.
It is still possible to apply for a remaining place on the Bachelor's degree course in Energy and Environmental Management and a number of other degree courses to start in the autumn.
