Delegation from Peru visits University of Applied Sciences Burgenland

A ‘roundtable’ discussion focused on exploring potential future collaborations. Topics discussed included internship opportunities for students, fields of expertise within degree programmes such as Eco Social Work, Children, Youth and Family, as well as the field of International Social Work and general forms of international exchange.

The delegation comprised academics and practitioners from a variety of professional fields. These included, in particular, human rights and peace work, support for victims of violence and conflict, and work with indigenous communities and other vulnerable population groups. Other key areas of focus included the psychological and psychosocial support of children, young people, women and families; the promotion of children’s rights; and educational and preventative work. These were complemented by activities in the fields of sustainable territorial development, agroecology, agriculture, and environmental and climate protection.
