Preparatory course at Burgenland University of Applied Sciences increases chances of gaining a place at university
The demand for the coveted medical study places in Austria remains high. However, only one in eight applications across Austria actually ended in a place at university in 2024.For nine years now, the Burgenland University of Applied Sciences has been supporting Burgenland school pupils in preparing for the entrance test (MedAT-H) on behalf of the Burgenland Health Fund. "The success proves us right," says Erwin Gollner, initiator and head of the preparatory course at Burgenland University of Applied Sciences.

The success rate for graduates of the preparatory course at the University of Applied Sciences Burgenland was 1:3 in the previous year, meaning that almost one in three course participants was able to secure a place at university.
